Being Successful over Failing

It would probably be better to discontinue using the word 'FAILURE' in our everyday life and we should tell ourselves that it is only the expectations that aren't met. We need to continuously cultivate an appropriate response to failure.
Failures looks menacing when looked at from close ranges. It looms large and threatning when there is no mental distance between it and us. The farther the distance we are from it, the smaller it looks. We have much to learn from our failed ventures than from our successful.
Life is all not about success and failure. One cannot measure the value of life by adding all the successes and subtracting the failures. In order to handle failure, we need to develop a proper relationship to success. It is like a see-saw. If one goes up the other goes down. Since failure is one of the most painful experiences it evokes empathy. Empathy bonds people together. Failure then is not totally negative and without use. To maintain a balance would require viewing success and failure from a larger perspective.
All said and done, It is equally important to have a feeling of having accomplished something in life about which we can be proud of. We humans are designed for living a meaningful life and free to create the meanings we want. The driving force of our life should be to create a meaning to our existence. The greater the meaning in our lives, less can the feelings of failure torment us.
"Nothing fails like success because we don't learn from it.  We learn only from failure."
